I've rounded up the best rooftops in Boston & neighboring cities, so you don't have to.

With the warm weather finally here, it's time to enjoy Boston's best outdoor dining spots. I know there's always the question of "where should we go?" and no one ever seems to have an answer. Well, I've rounded up some of the best rooftops in Boston & nearby - so you don't have to. These places range from casual hangouts to boujee nights out, a little something for everyone. Check out these places & let me know what you think! If I missed any you think should be on this list, tell me! Happy dining : )
1. Lookout Rooftop - Seaport
Pictured above. Lookout Rooftop at the Envoy Hotel offers beautiful city views and views of the Boston Harbor. Filled with cozy couches and communal space for intimate gatherings, a go-to destination for a night out.
70 Sleeper Street, Thurs-Sat 11am-12am, Wed&Sun 11am-11pm

2. Dorchester Brewing Co. - Dorchester
A brewery with a rooftop. Need I say more? Dorchester Brewing Co is the perfect place to day drink on the weekend (or weekday, we don't judge). They have arcade style games, board games you can bring to your table & BBQ style food. This rooftop is a personal fave of mine, being in walking distance from my home. Another cool thing about them is half the roof is covered - so no worries for the unpredictable New England weather.
1250 Mass Ave, Dorchester. Open Sun&Mon 11:30am-9pm, Tues-Thurs 11:30am-10pm, Fri&Sat 11:30am-11pm

Pro-Tip: Get the Dumpster Fries.

3. Rooftop @ Revere - Theater District
This is another one of my favorites. Tucked away in the Revere Hotel, Rooftop @ Revere is another one with great city views that can often be overlooked. The ambiance with fire pits makes this rooftop feel so cozy yet boujee at the same time. The drinks also come with temporary tattoos - yes, that's my favorite part. Rooftop @ Revere is great for weekend day drinking or for a casual hangout/drinks after work.
200 Stuart Street, Boston. Open Friday 3-8pm, Sat&Sun 11am-8pm

4. Pier 6 - Charlestown
This casual spot is perfect for outdoor dining. Pier 6 offers a wide selection of fresh seafood, that can be enjoyed on their waterfront patio & roofdeck. A really cool feature about this place is that you can take a ferry here & to their sister restaurant ReelHouse in East Boston.
1 8th Street, Charlestown. Open Daily 11am-1am

5. Six/West - South Boston
Popular for their igloos in the winter time, it's no surprise that Six/West in South Boston is also a go-to place during the nicer weather. Hop on the T to Broadway and walk right across the street to this posh rooftop in the Cambria Hotel. Enjoy their vacation style drinks with great views of the city. This casual rooftop is great for dinner & drinks with friends.
6 West Broadway, South Boston. Open Mon-Fri 4pm-10pm, Sat&Sun 10am-10pm

Pro-Tip: Get the Burrata

6. Cunard Tavern - East Boston
The Top Deck at Cunard Tavern is open again! Enjoy craft beer, wine, & cocktails at this historic Eastie building until September. This bar is really unique and has a food truck like walk up window to order your drinks. Enjoy their classic American dishes from the restaurant below. Perfect for casual hangouts & day drinking.
24 Orleans Street, East Boston. Open Tues-Fri 5:30pm-11pm, Sat&Sun 2pm-11pm

7. Deck 12 @ Yotel - Seaport
This rooftop is on the 12th floor of Yotel in Seaport. Perfect for a night out with friends or date night. Enjoy dinner with a view as the sun sets over the city. Their menu has something for everyone, offering a varitey of American, Latin & Asian cuisines. Did I mention they offer weekend brunch with instagram-able cocktails?
65 Seaport Blvd, Boston. Open Mon-Thurs 5-11:30pm, Friday 3-11:20pm, Sat&Sun 10am-11:30pm

Menu options from Deck 12

8. Blue Owl - Cambridge
Overlooking Central Square, this Cambridge rooftop is open for its first summer season. Located on top of well-known restaurant The Dial. Offering globally inspired street food and cocktails. Come here for a casual dinner or for after dinner drinks with a view.
907 Main Street, Cambridge. Open Wed&Thurs 4pm-10pm, Fri&Sat 4pm-12am

9. Deadalus - Cambridge
Just outside of Harvard Square, this converted greenhouse is perfect for dinner with friends or date night. Enjoy casual New American food on this Cambridge rooftop. There's also two bars, one located on each floor. This place fills up quick, so I suggest making a reservation for here.
45 Mt Auburn St, Cambridge. Open Sun-Wed 5pm-11pm Thurs-Sat 5pm-12am

10. Felipe's Taqueria - Cambridge
A fan favorite, Felipe's Mexican Taqueria in Harvard Square is a must for a rooftop Taco Tuesday. Enjoy made to order Mexican food and Latin cocktails on a casual night out on this rooftop. According to their website: "Felipe's philosophy for good food is simple: ingredients should always be fresh & the recipes authentic." I think that they live up to that philosophy.
21 Brattle Street, Cambridge. Open Sun-Wed 11am-12am, Thurs-Sat 11am-2am
