In Boston for Memorial Day? I've gathered up things to do, so you don't have to. Check them out below & let me know if there's anything good I missed!

1. Boston Calling
A yearly music festival taking place over the entire weekend. The line up looks awesome including headliners @thefoofighters & @metallica . Enjoy live music and local food Friday-Sunday. Tickets are still available if you haven't bought yours already.

2. Mass Military Heroes Garden of Flags
Honor fallen Massachusetts Military Heroes at The Garden of Flags. Each year volunteers come together and 37,000 flags are placed on the Boston Common at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument in honor of those who have fought and fallen for this country.
When: Thursday 5/26 - Monday 5/30

3. Catch a Red Sox Game
Who doesn't love a game at Fenway? The Sox will be playing the Orioles all weekend & the weather is supposed to be perfect! (Besides a little rain Saturday) Come for the game or the hot dogs - I don't judge. What's more patriotic than baseball, am I right?
When: Friday at 7:10, Saturday at 12:10 & 6:10, Sunday at 1:35 and Monday at 6:10.
Where: Fenway Park
What: Baseball games
Cost: Tickets start around $15 (source: Vivid Seats)

4. Free Admission on Monday to MFA & ICA
The Museum of Fine Arts & Institute of Contemporary Arts are offering FREE admission all day Monday. Take advantage of this to check out some great art in the city. The MFA has a special exhibit right now, "Turner's Modern World", which is included in the free admission. Tour the ICA and then hop on one of their free ferry boats (starting this Sunday) to check out the newest exhibit in East Boston, "Revival: Materials and Monumental Forms", at the Watershed.
When: Monday 5/30
Where: MFA Boston 465 Huntington Ave; ICA 25 Harbor Shore Dr; ICA Watershed 256 Marginal St
What: Art exhibits & tours
Cost: FREE

5. Free Blue Bikes
Every Sunday in May the city's Blue Bikes are free to use. Regularly $3 for 30 mins or $10 for 2 hours. This Sunday is the last day to take advantage, and with Memorial Drive shut down to vehicles (also included on this list) it's the perfect time to use them! Blue Cross is offering free Blue Bikes each Sunday to promote Mental Health Awareness Month. Important to enter the code BlueMiles29 when purchasing so that you can get your bike for free.
When: Sunday 5/29
Where: Anywhere Blue Bikes are located (check the app for the closest to you)
What: Bikes around the city
Cost: FREE

6. Memorial Drive Open for Pedestrians
Need somewhere to ride those free Blue Bikes? Every Saturday & Sunday until December Memorial Drive is closing its streets to vehicles opening it up for pedestrians to walk, run, bike, skate, etc. As someone who drives everywhere - I hate this for traffic reasons, but I do like the idea of having an area free and easy to enjoy the beautiful weather. That being said, the city is only closing Memorial Drive when it's weather permitting & it will not be closed on a rainy day. Take advantage of the nice weather expected this weekend and finally break into rollerblading.
When: Every Saturday & Sunday until December from 8am-7pm
Where: Memorial Drive from Western Ave to Gerrys Landing
What: Pedestrian only street for biking, walking, etc
Cost: FREE

7. Colonnade Rooftop Pool Opening
Have you been to the rooftop pool at the Colonnade yet? This is a favorite of mine for sure. Feel like you're on vacation (and maybe you are) with their island style cocktails & city views. You don't need to be a guest at the hotel to enjoy this pool, it's open to the public from Monday-Wednesday. The pool is first come, first serve, so get here early to score a cabana. One thing I particularly like about this pool is it's ALWAYS clean. There's nothing worse than a good pool being ruined by cleanliness, and the staff at the Colonnade always do a good job at keeping it clean here.
When: Opening day is 5/27, Open daily 8am-10pm, Tuesday opening at 9am
Where: Colonnade Hotel, 120 Huntington Ave
What: Rooftop Pool
Cost: $60 for non-guests M-W; rooms rates vary (pool is free to guests)

8. 'Merica All Day Party at Loretta's Last Call
Looking for a place to day drink on Sunday? Loretta's is it! They will be partying all day starting with brunch at 10:30. Live music will be happening all day, as well as line dancing from 7pm-10pm. Heading to the Sox game Sunday? Pre or Post game at Loretta's! Reservations here.

9. Boston Open Market
Shop local vendors and artists at Boston's Open Market, opening for the summer this Saturday 5/28. Over 85 local artists, designers, and vintage dealers will be featured at this market in Copley Square. You'll be able to check this out every Saturday until the end of September.
